Berrett

Based in the Clare Valley with an office in Gawler, South Australia, as well as reaching you wherever you are through Zoom technology, Nan Berrett is a former rural journalist, who has had 24 years’ experience in media. She turned her attention to her own media and marketing business almost 12 years ago.
Nan's wide range of experiences as a journalist and small business owner - which has encompassed MLM sales, art gallery owner, gift shop co-owner, health food store owner and many other roles have put Nan in a unique position to help other small business owners navigate the new world of business.
With a love for gadgets, new apps and most technology, Nan keeps up with changes in the digital space which often confuse new business owners and others wanting to grow their enterprises or keep pace with the evolving world we live in.
Her work has included a specialisation in local government media requirements as well as social media training, support and management for local government and small business.
For the past 7 or so years Nan has been providing coaching and mentoring support to small business owners to help them navigate our fast-paced digital world.
Client assistance includes social networking training (such as Facebook and LinkedIn), use of AI technology, media training, media liaison and grant content writing.
She presents workshops on the ever-evolving use of AI technology to help businesses save time and money, use of the versatile online graphic design tool, Canva, social media best practice, how to set up and optimise your online presence and so much more.
She is a proud older woman in business and an alumnae of the National Rural Women’s Coalition e-Leaders program and she likes nothing better than to help businesses get the most out of digital technology and resources.

Values
Empowerment through Knowledge
I believe that when we understand how things work—whether it’s business strategy, digital tools, or our own mindset—we gain real power. My role as a mentor and coach is to share what I know in ways that make sense and help you feel confident taking the next step.
Authentic Connection
Real relationships matter. I work closely with my clients, creating safe, supportive spaces where you can be yourself, ask questions, and explore what’s possible. I believe good business starts with trust and genuine connection.
Growth & Lifelong Learning
I’m a lifelong learner—and I encourage the same curiosity and openness in my clients. Whether it’s through coaching, mentoring, journaling, or structured planning, I’m here to help you grow in ways that feel aligned and sustainable.
Clarity & Practicality
I value simplicity and structure. I help you cut through the noise, untangle the overwhelm, and focus on what really matters—so you can move forward with clarity, purpose, and a solid game plan.
Service & Support
At the heart of everything I do is a desire to be of service. I work with purpose-led people—especially older women in business and those doing meaningful work—because I care about making a difference, not just making noise.
Integrity in Communication
I believe in saying what I mean and doing what I say. Clear, honest communication builds strong partnerships—and it’s the foundation of how I work with every client.
Things I love
I love shiny objects and often chase them - which means I have varied interests and am always learning. Here are some of the organisations I support and the things I love.
